VERY FINE VICTORIAN REPOUSSE SILVER PLATE TIPPING TEAPOT KETTLE ON WARMING STAND Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions. Up for auction with No Reserve is a VERY FINE VICTORIAN REPOUSSE SILVER PLATE TIPPING TEAPOT KETTLE ON WARMING STAND. The Tipping Teapot is of superb quality and I am sure would date around 1890. There is no markings but this is quite typical of later Victorian Period English Silver Plate. I love the fine Repousse designs that cover literally almost the entire surface plus the finely cast Victorian Period designs as well.
Condition : The Teapot and Stand are in very good condition for the age with some minor wear to the Copper and the Lid could use a slight adjustment to sit perfectly flush, easily done but my old hands are not strong enough. The burner is also present and seems to be in good condition, could use a minor tune up to be in perfect working order.. It is nice both keys are present and the handle is very secure, ready for modern use or be nice to display in collection of Tipping Teapots due to the unusual small size.
Size : The Teapot is a nice smaller size measuring 13 inches tall on the stand or 8-1/4 inches tall off the stand by 9 inches long and holding 4 cups.
