Item: Antique Iron HookDescription: For Sale is an Antique Iron Handheld Iron w/Wood Handled Hook. I sell about 10 of these a year and each time I write the listing I'm never clear about what to label it. Stevador Longshoremen's Hook? Hay Bale Hook? Or Meat Packing Warehouse Handler's Hook? Or Big Pirate Hand!! All of them fit the bill truthfully. One unique thing about this one which is a first for me is to find a maker's name... on it. This one is stamped "B.T.C." (See Photo). I searched for about 10mins online and couldn't figure out the acronym/initials meaning. Easily this tool dates Pre-WW2 and probably Pre-WW1. I base that on whom/where I obtained it and the items that were with it. I am sure my photos will best further describe this item. Condition: On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidentlygrade this item's condition to be a solid 7.5. Overall and Especially for being 75+ Years Old, this Collectible/Decorative Hook is in Very Good ORIGINAL Condition. The Handle is NOT loose at all and only has some minor chips and general wear. Surely nothing extreme. The Iron Hook is VERY VERY Sharp indeed!! Rust is NOT an issue at all anywhere. You may see some rust COLORED spots but this is iron so remember it turns that color. But as far as corrosive/metal eating rust? None on this Iron....totally solid as the day it was made. My photos are anaccurate depiction of this item's TRUECondition.
