Up for Auction now is a Fantastic original Civil War 1862 Ames Artillery Saber, cut down by the Rebs to make a fighting bowie knife.Many Civil War artifacts such as swords, guns, and even uniforms were revamped to be used by the confederates during the Civil War simply because they lacked resources. This is an outstanding example of a confederate bowie knife made from a 1862 Union Artillery Sword. A true highlight to any Civil War collection.Please view the photos for details and ...condition.
