A tintype of a veryyoung Union Soldier holding a most unusual revolver - a Lefaucheaux pinfireThe tintype is crystal clear with excellentcontrast and the revolver is the predominant feature held across his chest withhis finger on the trigger. The tintype is so clear that under magnificationeven the slots in the screw heads, holding the gun together, can be seen. Certainly identifiable by any arms expert as a Lefaucheaux&...nbsp;pinfire.
He is wearing a jacket with a highcollar, a regular issue kepi and an unusual rectangular belt buckle tintedcarefully enough to still allow its eagle and stars design to be seen undermagnification. It is housed in a union case that Paul Berg has named “OneStrawberry” and numbered as 2-73.
The case is in excellent condition but fortwo slightly chipped corners. #11
