Gloekler Pittsburgh PA Architectural Refrigerator Hardware Hinges Locks RARE.All found together in a barn from a man who used to butcher pigs. These are in as-is found condition. These are not brass but some type of iron/metal. I have not cleaned the dirt off these are there is still chippy red paint on some of these. I don’t think the paint is original but can’t say for sure. The Gloekler sign included has the same paint on it as well. Some of these parts are rusty but I do ...not see any damage such as cracks or any large chips taken out of the metal on these. Overall in good condition based on the age of these items being most likely from the early-mid 1900’s. The only item with the Gloekler name is the name plate but again all items were stored together and most likely came from the same piece. I haven't found any research that shows if Gloekler stamped numbers on their parts but all the details are below. There are 46 pieces included in this lot which includes bolts and screws. Here is what it includes:A. 1 - Long slanted handle 11 7/8” L from the tip of each point of the hinge. Short side height is 1 5/8” H and long side is 3 1/2” H. I believe this is from part of a locking mechanism if you research you can find an image with a locking handle that slides up underneath this handle. B. 10 hinges with 10 mounting brackets and 6 of these include the bolts that holds the hinges to the mounting piece. The other 4 do not have the bolts. Some of the bolts are flat head type while the others are hexagonal. 8 hinges are stamped on the back of both the hinge and mounting bracket 3433. 2 of the hinges are stamped 581 A and the mounting brackets are stamped 503 B 1 1/8. All the hinges measure 9 3/4 long from tip to the back. The brackets are roughly 4 14” long from the points at the longest part and 1 7/8” wide. C. 4 Locks with 4 brackets. 2 of the locks are still tight with the spring mechanism working. The other two easily move. Two are stamped on the back 315 P, one looks to be 815 B, and the other 815 P. It’s hard to decipher a couple of these. The handles on the locks also look to be stamped 315L but paint is covering up some of these. I could not find anything stamped on the brackets the lock handles sit in. Locks measure 4 3/8” on the square part by 2 1/4” and the handle is roughly 8” end to end. Bracket from top to bottom is 4 7/8” long D. Also included are 9 screws 1 3/4” L and one screw 1” L. These were in the box all these parts came in so I’m including them. E. Gloekler Pittsburgh, PA Plaque. Measures 7 1/4” L x 2 2/8” Wide. It states Pittsburgh with the H so it would be dated after 1911.All items are described honestly and in detail.
