STOCKING From 1880 - 90s QUILT ORANGE PEEL PATTERN TEENY WHITE STARS On INDIGO

My original crazy and traditional quilt stockings, along with my other one of a kind creations, are "Handmade with love.....and a touch of lavender.....from my home to yours" since 2000.
I love to remember these creative and talented ladies from so long ago, an...d to preserve pieces of their works of arts into pillows, little hearts, stockings, lavender filled strawberries and sachets......and so much more.......are just some ways that I can keep their memories in our hearts. Yes, it's Christmas in July....and it's never too early! Offered is an awesome stocking made from an 1880-90s "Orange Peel" pattern quilt done with an indigo and teeny white stars print......along with a solid white background. This soft to the touch quilt is totally hand pieced and hand quilted with 8 to 9 stitches per inch.
This stocking measures approximately 19 inches long, 11 inches from heel to toe, and about 8 inches across the top opening. The back of this stocking is from the same quilt with the designs matching. It can be hung with the toe pointing either left or right and will come with a grosgrain hanger. This stocking is fully lined with no seams showing using some vintage sheeting. The lining has ample give from top to toe to hold lots of Santa's goodies! To give this stocking more stability, I have interfaced both the front and back pieces.
I love the traditional stocking shapes. The workmanship and original beauty of this quilt lets this stocking stand alone, no frills or embellishments are needed. Super nice all year 'round to hold magazines, hostess gifts, wedding or shower gifts filled with special needful things.....so many different ways to use them. Although I try very hard to use only the best areas of my cutter textiles, there might be some slight surface wear, but I will always let you know of any major issues. You won't be disappointed with my creations as I take great pride in my workmanship.....from the careful placing and cutting of the textiles' patterns, the construction of my cut pieces........to the final completed pieces for you to enjoy for many more years to come.
This quilt was carefully laundered before becoming a stocking and it will come to you from a smoke free home.
