Here on offer is a delightful antique Edwardian silvermesh or chain mail chatelaine or dance purse. This beautiful purse is made from hundreds of tiny silvermetal rings linked together giving a heavy drape to the body of the purse andhas four beads hanging from the base. The mesh is attached to the elegant purseframe. It has a classic purse catch. The frame is also fitted with a large ringto attach to a chatelaine, the ring is marked 925 for Sterling quality silver. There is... no damage to the purse, the mesh isintact, complete and missing none of the attachments, which is unusual for thistype of purse. The purse has no maker marks. This lovely shimmering purse is being offered inexcellent antique condition. It measures approximately 4.8cm by 8cm and weighs21.1g. This is a lovely stylish collectable and would makea great addition for a discerning collector.
