This fabulous double sided sign for "Yale Keys" dates to around 1950.The sign is cast in metal and finished in brass coloured paint.The key is embossed with "Yale, The Yale & Towne Mfg. Co." to one side and "Yale, Made in England" to the other.The casting is still crisp, although there is a small chip between the teeth on one side.Along the bottom of the shaft to one side it has the words "Yale Keys Cut Here" in green and brass and to the other side at the top of the shaft it has "Yal...e Locks Stocked Here"Inevitably, there are areas of paint loss to the brass and green, as well as the scuffs and marks you expect from a well used item of this age and use.It has its' original green painted hanging chains, these show some signs of surface rust.It measures 78 cm (30 3/3 inches) long and is 31 cm (12 1/4 inches) wide. This fabulous double sided sign for "Yale Keys" dates to around 1950.
The sign is cast in metal and finished in brass coloured paint.
The key is embossed with "Yale, The Yale & Towne Mfg. Co." to one side and "Yale, Made in England" to the other.
