Offered for auction is a 1/110-scale model of the Mercury Capsule and Atlas Booster, made by Revell Models in 1983 a...s part of their "History Makers" series.
As you can see from the photos, this kit was shipped in a Revell plain brown box, perhaps as part of a promotion. The box was taped closed until I opened the box to see what was inside and photograph the kit.
This injection molded 36-YEAR OLD MODEL is COMPLETE and NEAR MINT IN THE BOX, with all but a couple of the parts still attached to the trees! The bag that the kit is packed in is split (perhaps from age) and a couple of parts are loose in the bottom of the bag.
This injection molded kit includes parts molded in gray plastic, a sheet of decals, and assembly instructions. The box is in good condition with light wear from age and storage which includes old tape on both ends.
