Gund 1939 Rudolph The Red - Nosed Reindeer Plush

I've had this Gund Rudolph for many years as part of our holiday decorations. He was made by the Gund Mfg. Company, Brooklyn, New York, and has the copyright date of 1939, with the copyright by Robert L. May, the person who wrote the original book, "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer."
This plush toy is 13" tall to the top of his head, and would be 15 1/4" tall if his ears would stand up. He has two little green felt nubby antlers and his trademark red nose, although there is som...e paint loss on his nose (see photos). There is also some wear on the plush, which would be expected on a toy from 80 years ago! At the base of his neck there is a loose thread, which could easily resewn (shown in photo). He stands up nicely and has such a cute expression.
