The features that make this antique hand-wrought brass tray special are the quality hand craftsmanship and intricate chased design, the subject of a Hindu God (poss Vishnu) and attendants. This lovely Octagonal tray that measures 45cm across. The Tray is in very good condition with an amazing olive/brown patina. The reverse has been silver-plated at once stage, but it is now exposed to see the copper underneath. Dating to early Part of 20th Century in the Art Nouveau period c 1915. La...ttice edges. I have not shined it – left in natural state and there is a couple of dents to the edges but no major damage that I can see.. The brass on the surface is silky smooth.
