FACTS ABOUT THE ITEMHISTORY: Steiff produced a series of "Big Game" designs in 1958 for the US market only. There were 6 different animals made in 2 different sizes. This Lion head is mounted to a shield shaped wooden plaque ready for hanging.DESCRIPTION: Head is Mohair stuffed with excelsior - long Mohair Mane - short Mohair face - Glass eyes / large pink hand embroidered Nose - open felt lined Mouth with 4 Wooden Teeth. Nylon (plastic feel), clear whiskers are all entact. Original Steiff tag is attached under the head/mouth and is in excellent conditionEar button and tag also entact on the ear.
