This advertising token dating to approximately 1910-1920 is from the T. F. Moore Co., a company located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that specialized in novelty and advertising items. [NOTE: This token is considered to be rare and was not even listed as existing until 2005.] One side has a very large image of a smiling man, with the words I AM A LOYAL MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE SMILING FACE along the rim. The other side has the words ORDER YOUR ADVERT...ISING NOVELTIES FROM THE T. F. MOORE CO. MILWAUKEE, WIS. AND SMILE. There is no mark for manufacturer or metal content, but the composition is brass. This token was struck very well, with a very high-relief (three-dimensional) image and bold lettering. The diameter is approximately 32 mm (1-1/4").This item is in very fine condition, with light wear, signs of handling, toning, and some soiling, and it remains bright.
