This is a very nice vintage, late 1960's to early 1970's, Space themed Robot by the premiere Robot toy manufacturer in Japan, Horikawa. Horikawa began making robots in 1959 as a tin toy vender. As time went by the company began to make a combination of metal and plastic robots. The plastic as in this one requires a delicate touch. There are no replacement pieces readily available. This particular robot is called "Mars Killer." It is considered to be ...a fighting robot of plastic and metal. Fortunately, this little tin toy has been sitting in my husband's case for almost 50 years, which has left it in a more or less great condition. No box but nicely taken care of. The battery case says "made in Japan." It works but is faulty at times. This may be because of the time it has been sitting. It is about 11.75" tall.
