You are being offered a Late 18th or Early 19th Century Chinese Carved Wood Scroll Pot or Scroll Holder for the Scholar's Desk that appears to have been carved from the Bottom Section of a Tree Trunk and the Top Portion of the Root. The Scroll Pot doesn't have any identifying marks; but the Curators at Two Reputable Auction Galleries, one in South Florida and the other on Florida's West Coast, agr...eed that it was most likely carved during the Qing Dynasty between 1780 and 1840. The Scroll Pot stands almost 8¾ inches high and measures 12 inches long and 9¼ inches wide. Aside from wear consistent with its age, including a few age cracks and losses to its Lacquer Coating, the Scroll Pot is in Very Good Condition, without any other issues.
