This is a GREAT, OLD, FAIRBANKS, POSTAL/Balance SCALE.
Cast Iron Base -- Brass Pan, Sliding Weight & Bar Scale.The Black Cast Iron Base has a Painted Floral Design on the Front & Back [See Pics 2 & 8].FAIRBANKS is in Raised Letters on the Base [See Pic ...3].
The Bar Scale Range is 0 to 34 Ounces [See Pic 7] . I tested the Scale using 1 Lb and 2 Lb Weights -- It Was Pretty close to Balancing.
When the Sliding Weight is at 0 Oz, the Balance is Slightly Off.
Approx. Dimensions: 13" Long by 7 1/8" Wide/Deep by 6 1/4” High.
The Curved Rectangular Pan is: 7 1/8" Long x 5 1/8" Wide.
The Brass Bar Weight Scale is: 10 3/4" Long x 1/2" High.The Cast Iron Base is: 5 1/2" Long x 4 1/8" Wide x 5 1/4" High.
The Brass Sliding Weight is: 1 1/2" Diameter x 2" High.
