WW2 British (Australian) B2 Type 3 Mark II Spy Clandestine Wireless Radio Items
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:223082 |
This WW2 British B2 Type 3 Mark II Wireless radio receiver and transmitter were found in the Australian Outback a few years ago, in the metal waterproof box shown above. The metal case is marked "444". My best guess is this equipment was used by the Australian Army at some point.
Since then I have found the four plug-in coils (coils L1 - L4, duplicates from another collector's B2 suitcase set) and a correct I think miniature British morse key... and a 70...60 kc crystal. All are included in this sale and shown in the attached pictures.
I do NOT have the power supply, or the "spares" box - both of which would have been stored in a 2nd metal waterproof box, which has never been found.
Both the receiver and transmitter have switches nicely added to turn on/off the "LT" (low tension - tube filament voltage) and "HT" (high tension - plate high voltage).
I have not tried to power up either of these units.
Condition is Used and everything is sold "As Is".
The only reason I am selling is I have retired and I'm downsizing my collection
