You're bidding on a set of (3) dice created by WizKids and Gale Force Nine for the Mechwarrior Clix game.
Although most of the original sub-factions of the Mechwarrior game were not as popular as the original Houses of the Inner Sphere from the Battletech game, WizKids and Gale Force Nine teamed up to create more dice, this time based on Houses of the Inner Sphere as well as some of the more popul...ar factions that developed out of the fiction from the Mechwarrior game. Following the Mechwarrior Age of Destruction release (considered by some to be the Mechwarrior 'reboot' of the Clix game at the time) which allowed for improved / revised game mechanics, WizKids decided to increase the selection of Faction Dice available for players. This time, instead of the smaller sub-factions like Dragons Fury, Swordsworn, Bannson's Raiders and the like, new dice were released, more in keeping with the greater House factions that were playing a larger role in the Age of Destruction era.
You're bidding on a set of (3) three dice released by WizKids / Gale Force Nine for the Wolf Hunters faction. Similar in colors to the Wolfs Dragoons, in the Mechwarrior Age of Destruction fiction, the Wolf Hunters were a mercenary faction led by 'Tasha Kerensky, believed to be the genetic grand-daughter of the late Natasha Kerensky from the Wolfs Dragoons. 'Tasha brought together former members of the Steel Wolves, a sub-faction within the Republic of the Sphere made up of former Clan Wolf members and their descendants from the Word of Blake Jihad era. With these members, she sought to destroy the remnants of the Steel Wolves, and make her mark on the Inner Sphere, perhaps even to join up with the remnants of the Wolfs Dragoons in the post-Jihad era.
In colors of black and red, these dice feature a wolf's paw-print, which symbolized their faction. The Wolf Hunters were becoming a powerful force to reckon with in the Inner Sphere in the Age of Destruction era. While the Mechwarrior Clix game may not have survived, the dice remain popular for collector's of Battletech dice for use in gameplay. Unfortunately, due to my personal inability to play the game, I felt it would be better to offer these dice to those who not only love the game but want to have these dice to use in their personal gaming experience.
I am selling off other Battletech dice as well. Should you choose to purchase multiple sets, I would be happy to combine them to decrease shipping costs. Worldwide bidders are welcome. Shipping is based on destination. Good Luck!
