WWII Pilot STALAG LUFT 1 Made Lead Wing & Letter Mail POW German Prisoner Of War / Max Becker flew with the 8th Air Force 398th BG 603rd Bomb Squadron. He was shot down on July 7th 1944 / My research says that these are the Polish style pilot wings that were worn in WWII. These were made in cup by the men from lead . I saw in the War Time Log book that the men made different wings of all the allies that flew in the war in camp and had display boards of these badges and wings.... Interesting part of history. The last photo you see in a photo card of Max that the German held on each prisoner of war. The winner of this auction will receive a COPY of this card, so you can keep history together.
