Original Description:
This is a matching boxed set of traditional Japanese hair ornaments and would have been worn in the hair as jewellery probably by Geisha.  This set is black lacquer on shell with most of the design of flora and fauna applied in gold and the odd bit of Mother of Pearl MOP Abalone adding some detail to the flora. The Kushi (hair comb) and Kougai (a two part pull apart hair pin) are presented in a silk lined cantilevered lidded box.
