Original Description:
Superb mid 19thc gothic oak carved lion pediment.  Dating c.1860's.Excellent attention to detail on this fine gothic pediment.  A superb lion head is carved centrally with fruits and leaves flowing from the mouth and along the pediment.  The pediment has a pitched roof.  The head is really beautifully carved in fine relief detail.The pediment measures some 7.75" height x 27.25" length.   Condition:  The lion's head has been repaired/reattached.  ...Some nibbling at either end of pediment.  All as per images.
