During World War II Belgium was occupied by the Nazis and the doll company Unica came to a halt. When Belgium was liberated they quickly put out a doll for the children in need of toys. The head and arms of the doll are made with plaster since it was cheaply obtained and the smile on the doll's face showed the joy of being liberated. There is a tag sewn to her body as is pictured. She is lacking shoes and socks and a red head scarf. As shown, there is a dime sized stain on her right le...g. Arms are unchipped but there is some chipping where her hair meets her forehead.
