I just got a large group of items from an estate. There are items of the father's who served in the Boer War, the Spanish American War and World War 1 with the British. The Son served in the 834th Engineer Aviation Battalion with the Ninth Air Force. The 834th landed in Normandy on D Day and D+1 and set about building air fields for the Ninth Air Force. He served post war in Europe and stayed in the A...rmy Corps Of Engineers until his retirement in 1969. I will list all of these items with the family name Vulliamy in the title so that you can search for them.
These were in with the son's military gear. They are 2 WWII era Czechoslovakian Air Force lighters. One lighter has a Czech Air Force pilot's badge and the other has a pilot's badge with the Czech roundel on it. While not U.S.military he probably picked these up while building airfields in Europe or possibly post war during his occupation service.
