This is a gorgeously "grungy" porcelain sink top, almost certainly made by Mary Carson of Hammer N Smith. Mary was well known for making porcelain sinks and for aging them in certain ways, to make them look well-used. She also was well known for her beautiful faucets. The reasons I believe this is by Mary:This sink has her typical rusty drip stain running from the hot water tap down toward the sink bowl. There is also a dark spot by the brass drain ring, to replicate a c...hip in the porcelain finish. In addition, the porcelain taps are just beautiful, and also a little grayed with "age."The nickel faucets are also beautifully detailed. While I can't swear this was definitely made by Mary Carson, everything about this piece bears her "signature style."This would be a fabulous sink in a period kitchen or scullery, or a laundry room. This type of Belfast / Utility sink is usually set on top of a base of bricks or wooden supports with shelves underneath. Perfect period detail! Approximate Dimensions: 113/16" H x 3⅞" W x 1⅞" D
