Original Description:
This is a fragment from what was probably a piano shawl.  It is beautifully embroidered with silk thread. There are so many tonalities not found today due to the difference in natural dyes used then and the chemical dyes that are used today.The chocolate coloured silk is in fragile condition but the embroidery is in excellent condition. This piece should be backed with an iron on adhesive lining for support. Perfect for projects! 
The silk fragment measures appro...ximately 22 inches long by 3 & 1/2 inches wide.
