super elegant! Mid-century Styling at it's BEST!!! this is a six-drawer chest made by "Rway" furniture in the U.S.A …in the 1950's or early 1960's. It has an original Carrera glass top made to fit it…which contrasts so well against the beautiful, rich Mahogany…and matches the enameled drawer pulls…they are all original and in great shape…very minor wear to the surfaces of the pulls. This piece looks so "dramatic" it would even be great in a foyer…...it's not too tall to put something large on it (pic 2) for a focal point…but it's great in the bedroom…with the two top drawers both divided (as seen in pic 8). It has just been cleaned up and waxed…it retains it's original finish and is in good vintage condition…some wear to finish consistent with age…the glass top is perfect.
This is a fabulous statement piece…I couldn't find any other pieces like it ..anywhere on the internet, so I am not sure of who designed it…but it definitely has "designer" style. Saarinen did many pieces for Rway….It is appx 44" tall and it's 40" across and 20" deep. Can go to anywhere in the 48 contiguous states by "white glove" door to door moving company….I'll arrange…or will work with your choice of mover.
