MCCOY FROG WITH LOTUS PLANTERThis little pottery piece was made by McCoy and dates to the early 1940s. It is called Frog with Lotus and meant to be a planter. It features a cute little frog perched on a lotus blossom with the center of the flower as the bowl. It is unmarked. There is an original price stamp of 39 cents on the bottom.
It measures about 5 inches long, about 4 inches wide, and about 3 1/2 inches tall.
It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs an...d no scale inside. There is some loss of the yellow cold paint that highlights the frog's features (photos 9, 10, & 11). There is no crazing of the glaze on the outside. The inside has slight crazing of the glaze towards the front where the glaze pooled during the manufacturing process (photo 12).
