Original Description:
This is a historical plate commemorating Blackie the horse swimming the Golden Gate on Oct. 1, 1938. It was made for Roberts At The Beach a San Francisco motel The plate is a heavy china similar to stoneware with a glaze. The decoration is red transfer under the glaze and in good condition with no crazing. There are no cracks or chips, the underside has a small 5mm glaze bubble that has opened. Buyer pays for shipping.
