Very colorful Katani Foo Dogs or Shi Shi Lions. Classic Chinoiserie decor, a beautiful pair of moriage or raised painted decoration Foo Dogs. Fabulous floral decoration, metallic gold accents.  Andrea by Sadek Taiwan sticker.
Excellent vintage con...dition. The foo's measure 7 " high, 6" wide, 5 1/2" deep.
This was an estate find from a young 86 year old music teacher who recently passed. Would love the purchaser to love them as much as she did.
Foo dogs are meant to be a pair. Foo dogs are symbolic, protective statues, and they are designed in pairs — one is female, the other is male. The female represents yin, and symbolically protects the people dwelling inside the home, while the male statue, representing yang, protects the structure itself.
