The head is signed V13G, which indicates she was made by Verdier andGutmacher, who purchased the doll business and molds of Andre Thuillier, circa 1894. Verdier and Gutmacher purchased and used thefamous A.T. molds, thereby changing only the mark from "AT" to VG" -- and as you can see, th...e face identically resembles the openmouth AT Bebe. I have include sideprofile photographs so you can see the detail of the nose, upper lip, and mouth—alldistinctly identical to the AT Bebe. She wears a wonderfuldress made from antique fabrics and elaborate lace panels, antique leathershoes, and a beautiful straw bonnet! Shewould be a knock-out in any collection! Shewears an exceptionally beautiful dress made from antique fabrics and exquisiteantique lace with ribbon accents throughout. The back of the dress is complete with a lovely blue silk ribbon embellishment. She has 2 pieces of original undergarmentsincluding chemise and pantaloons. The quality of the bisque is superb withexcellent modeling and delicate facial decoration. The bisque head has been lighted and is inoverall excellent condition with no damage and no repair. There are a few minor wig pulls around thecrown rim and a very slight nose rub. Thebody is in overall excellent condition and in the original finish with somepaint wear to the hands.
