This is for an antique tinned copper Persian spice box with its original boxes and plates inside. The copper has hand worked decoration to the sides and top with a large primitive hinge and locking handle. I am told it dates back to the 1700s and as you can see it has a wonderful primitive look to it. Inside are four different sized canister boxes, two bowls with their stands and two plates. It is in excellent condition as shown with a beautiful unpolished patina and it is a good ...large size measuring 190mm (7.5") in diameter by 110mm (4") high. The largest box inside is 60mm (2.25") in diameter by 65mm (2.5") tall, the smallest is 50mm (2") in diameter by 60mm (2.3") tall. The plates are 60mm across, the bowls are 70mm (3") across by 50mm (1.75") tall and 45mm tall. It weighs over 2kg so please check the postage before bidding.
