Up for auction I am offering this beautiful Rookwood vase by the world famous artist Kataro Shirayamadani. This vase is a beautiful landscape scene. It was done in 1910. This would have been one of the last pieces Kataro did before he he took a brief leave from Rookwood to go home to Japan for over a year. It is beautifully decorated with trees and mountains in the background. The bottom is maked V for Vellum. It is 9” tall. The vase has no chips , cracks, or repairs. It does have an... all over faint craze that is normal for age. This is the first time this vase has ever been offered to the public. It has been in the same family for over 100 years.
