Good English Duplex Escapement Quarter Repeater Pocket Watch Movement in Working Order by John Barwise.Signed: Barwise, London & with nthe serial number: 5529, this movement dates around 1810.The movement is in excellent condition & in perfect working order, it winds smoothly & runs perfecty through the full length of the fusee chain, i have tried the repeat mechanism in many positions & it too appears to be striking the various sequences properly, obvioiusly i cannot offer guarantees... on the striking aspect of the watch as it is not possible for me to check everything, on that basis i am selling on a spares or repairs basis only.This watch was removed from a gold case some time ago.The watch comes with the key pictured to wind & set & the steel pusher to operate the repeat, it is only the steel section & the gold pusher has all long gone., No Hands, No Dial.A good English Duplex quarter repeater in working order in need of re-casing & possible service but well worth the effort.Size: See image 18 with rule.Weight: 73.3 grams.Please See All 24 Images.
