The carefully picked out palette of colours are arranged and put together with a sublime attention to detail which include Azure, Sapphire, Turquoise, Duck Egg Blue, Coral, Baby Pink, Cerise, Fuchsia, Yellow, Lemon, Ochre Eucalyptus, Emerald, Jade and Viridian to name but a very few. The company was founded by the great English glass master Michael Harris whereby this particular, much sought after and scarce range was designed and developed by Elizabeth Harris in conjunction with her son, Timothy. Examples of the much acclaimed Sweet Pea range are very thin on the ground, as it's sister colourway named Sugar and Spice, which is the result of collectors and enthusiasts refusing to part with their pieces. To say that the piece is exquisite is probably a huge understatement whereby the word breathtaking may be a more fitting superlative. The Sweet Pea range were first introduced to a very appreciative public in 1991 and only produced for a further three year until 1993. The piecedisplays an exquisite tapestry of sublime pastel, almost painterly, colours of some beauty which is complimented and accentuated with a graduation of colours that displays a breathtaking beauty. The elegant piece starts with a large circular highly polished base which is scratch free as it has been protected by its original IOW label. The piece ascends to form a plinth like circular Coral Pink basal feature. The latter perfectly heralds and harmonises with the gorgeous palette of colours above. It's plinth like base also serves to elevate the perfume bottle's main body, so that it appears to ' hover ' in mid space. The piece ascends to form a stunning splayed and slightly flattened spherical shape that resembles a small doughnut or bun. The latter displays sublime arcing, crescent shaped side walls which soon merge into the gentle slopes of its upper reaches. The perfume bottles main body is surmounted and finished with a small and squat, partially hidden neck which develops into a superb splayed mouth. The mouth itself displays no lip or mouthrim which serves to compliment its clean and uncluttered lines. The circular mouth is finished in an almost opaque crisp white colouration which resembles Mother Of Pearl. It is finished with a series of superb fine arcing coral pink fissures that resemble eyelashes as they radiate and orbit the bottles circular, plateau like summit. The piece is surmounted with a slightly fumed irridescent spherical stopper that seemingly surveys the beautiful palette of pastel colours below. The piece has been finished with a tapestry of graduating and merging brushstrokes that display an immense appeal whereby its understated and restrained and very feminine pastel colouration and innovative decorative effects are indeed at the heart of it's charm and appeal. The piece's simply gorgeous palette of colours is accentuated with almost painterly elongated sandspits and lozenges of exquisite colour that perfectly blend and harmonise with one another. Their collective appearance gives off an almost ethereal, veiled appearance whose colours are heightened against its opaque white underlying ground. Its divine decorative colours include swathes of Azure and Turquoise Blue which are blended with equally stunning darker shades of Sapphire and laced with lighter tones of Aquamarine and Duck Egg Blue. The latter is complimented with painterly elongated meandering rivers of a subtle yellow colouration which is combined with lighter shades of Lemon and Yellow Ochre. These are closely followed and paired with small organically shaped pockets and isolated islands of Coral Pink which are themselves adorned with deeper shades of Fuchsia and Cerise. The latter are also harmonised with exquisite swathes of lighter hues of a Baby Pink colouration. The aforementioned colours are matched with small sporadic pockets of a deeper palette of vivid greens which include Emerald, tinged with even deeper toned of Viridian. These darker green shades are balanced with broad painterly brushstrokes and elongated sweeps of Eucalyptus Green which serves to soften the other greens that abound. The colours of the piece and indeed the whole range epitomises the colours of the Sweet Pea in all its spectacular array of pastel variations. The use of several green denote the stems and stalks of the flower which also serve to accentuate and indeed heighten the beautiful tapestry of pastel colours that abound. The piece can easily be described as enchanting, painterly, exquisite, restrained, sophisticated, mesmirising, divine, gorgeous and breathtaking whereby its absorbing colour palette represents just one of it's many strengths. The piece and indeed the range has been conceived, designed and executed with an innovative artistry allied to a technical excellence and no less important, immense attention to detail. Thecondition of the enchanting, gorgeous and exquisitely decorated ' Sweet Pea ' Perfume Bottle and it's lightly fume irridescent stopper from the much heralded Sweet Pea and Sugar and Spice Range designed by Elizabeth Harris and her son Timothy Harris is in a perfect and pristine with no chips, dents, cracks, abrasions, nibbles, scratches or any other water/perfume damage atall as the piece has never been used and only displayed. The enchanting and elegant piece measures 3.3 " ( 6.4 cms. ) in diameter with a height ( inc. stopper ) of 4 " ( 10.2 cms. )and weighs in at 342 gms. exactly. The piece's circular highly polished base to which the piece rests is also in a perfect and pristine condition as it has been protected by its IOW label.
