This is a HEUER AUTAVIA "Dato" watch. 40mm stainless steel case, black dial with silver chrono sundials and date display, Valjoux 7732 manual wind chronograph movement with 17 jewels. Estimated production in 1969 -1970. Model# 7863C Dato, Serial# 138854.
This watch belonged to my father. It was a gift to him from my grandmother after he graduated from Medical School in 1970. He purchased it in Switzerland before he went on to his internship. My fa...ther rarely wore it as he was an Emergency Medical Doctor for his entire career. When on duty he had to maintain complete germ free conditions at all times. Excellent condition as it was rarely worn and has been completely serviced in Switzerland before putting up for sale. Grenon's of Newport, Rhode Island sent it to Heuer Switzerland for service and appraisal. Warranty from Heuer is good to July 9, 2020.
