Here is a mysterious oddity! It is obviously old; the bottom part is brass, with a copper top that was hammered onto the brass and secured over the lip, hammered on, it appears, so it doesn't open up. Then there's that piece on the top...??? It's 1 3/4" dia. on the top rim and 1 1/8" tall including that top piece. At 1.8 ounces it seems fairly heavy for a little thing. Well, if you know what it is and would like to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it! Some wear consistent... with age/use.
