As these stamps are printed on very Thin paper very small thins and/or blemishes are commonly found. Stamps with larger thins will usually not be listed (except where described). For the... same reason many stamps were separated with scissors and this is quite normal.
The margins are almost all close and rarely do these Foreign Mail issues come in well centered condition. The small numeral "Numeralito" issues were only issued for two years and many of them did not use district name overprints because this requirement was phased out by the Mexican Postal Authorities.
"Tay" denotes the cancel from the book "Postmarks of Mexico in 2 volumes 1/821-1883" by Pete Taylor.
All Numeralitos identified as "mf#" at the end of the title line come from the Estate of the late Professor John Miller Morris of Austin , Texas.The Foreign Mail issues were instituted to be used for the UPU international rate for covers traveling outside of Mexico. Since the postage rates for domestic letter was much higher, the new lower costing, stamps were limited to the mailing of letters going out of the country.
It was much more expensive to mail a letter from Mexico City to Veracruz than it was to mail one to Paris, France from Mexico City. Obviously, this difference in rates did not set well with the Mexican public.
The Follansbee Catalogue value is for "Sound and presentable" stamps.Most of the stamps I am offering are worth a premium being either fine, very fine or better.
All stamps may be presumed to be without thins unless specifically mentioned.

Courier to USA and Mexico by NZ Post International Express /DHL is 60.00$USD (up to 500 gm).It has full track and trace and signature on delivery.
International Registered Mail (USD15.00$) does NOT have track and trace, however it requires a signature on delivery. Not recommended for Mexico.
A street address and telephone number are required by the courier companies.

From recent reports (March 2015) ordinary airmail delivery in Mexico now takes place between 70 and 80 days after mailing so don’t be surprised if there are delays!!Please be patient.
