From the CineMasterpieces archive.This is a genuine 14" x 36" U.S. insert ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERissued by the studio when the film was released and meant fortheatrical display.Rolled, never folded.This is an incredibly rare size to find for this title.National Screen Service (NSS) issued.These can be very difficult to find in any condition! A longtime can go by without one of these coming up for sale. You willhave trouble finding a nicer one.CONDITION/GRADE:C9-C10NEAR MINT-MINT Unused. No tears, no tape, no pin holes.Normally, inserts were printed in far fewer numbers than one sheets making themmuch rarer. Sometimes they even sell for more than the one sheet.Collectors love them because they can display two of them in the samespace as a one sheet. Usually printed on card stock, studios stoppedissuing inserts in the early 1980's.If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition likethis one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors willplace a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restoredone). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items torestored ones because they believe they will appreciate more invalue. When buying collectibles it is always wise to buy "the bestof the best" as they stand a greater chance of appreciation.This poster is considered to be within that class and isdefinitely INVESTMENT QUALITY.This is NOT a reprint or reproduction poster! Please read all of the information below before bidding/purchasing.Please be advised that over 95% of all Original Movie Postersprinted before the mid 1980's were issued FOLDED. This is NOTconsidered a defect. They were shipped to theaters this way. Vintagerolled posters do exist, however they are extremely rare. We can haveany folded poster Linen Backed which will make the fold lines virtually disappear. Alsoplease note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater, and some will contain slight imperfections such as: writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, small tears, etc. These are all very common andto be expected, but if they bother you, all these minor flaws can beremedied in the linen backing process. Linen Backingpreserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the mostpart, any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in NearMint condition. For more information about our Linen Backing service please contact us. Wedo not always measure all of our posters exactly. Unless otherwisespecified, poster measurements quoted above are approximate to thenearest inch. For example, if we say a one sheet poster is 27" x 41" itsprecise measurements may be closer to 26 3/4" x 40 7/8" (or somethingsimilar). This slight variance is quite common for all original movieposters. BEWARE OF "FAKE" MOVIE POSTERS!Thereare fakes, bootlegs, reprints, and reproductions of almost everypopular movie poster. WE DO NOT SELL THESE AS ORIGINALS LIKE OTHERS DO!There are many unscrupulous dealers who successfully pass off theseposters as originals. They have been doing it for years! These fakes arealmost indistinguishable from originals, only experts can tell. Manywho buy them don't know they have been taken. They only discover yearslater when they sell them that they are worthless. Most are from popularmovies from the 70's and 80’s, but there are also really old ones andrelatively new ones as well. We grade our posters according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Movie Poster Grading Scale. C10 Mint - Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind.
C9 Near Mint - Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused poster.
C8 Excellent - Investment quality. A few minor defects.
C7 Very Good to Excellent - Fine condition. Still a very nicely preserved item.
C6 Very Good - The typical used poster in average condition.
C5 Good to Very Good - A heavily-worn item.
C4 Good - Below average but still suitable for display.
C3 Fair - Heavily worn, but yet still complete.
C2 Poor to Fair - An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item.

Itis usually possible to ship folded and rolled posters together in onepackage by rolling the folded ones and shipping them all in one tube.Sometimes it isn't possible to do this. Foldedposters are placed in a plastic bag or envelope and in between STRONGpieces of cardboard and taped together before being placed in thepackage. Rolled posters are put into a plastic sleeve and then placed ina HEAVY-DUTY TOUGH 3” or 4" diameter thick walled PVC tube. We roll theposter into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is VERY IMPORTANTbecause it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them fromgetting wrinkled. We add soft cushioning material (also very important!)on the ends to prevent them from getting damaged. We stamp “FRAGILE: DONOT BEND” on the outside of the package. EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ
