This listing is for a circa 1890s French Limoges porcelain 10 piece chocolate set by Charles Field Haviland Limoges. The set includes a round serving tray, 4 cups and saucers and a chocolate pot. They are marked with a red double circle and "CH. FIELD HAVILAND LIMOGES", along with a mark in green "CFH/GDM FRANCE", this for Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel, and dates the pieces to the late 19th century.The pieces have a white ground with trailing green ivy leaves and vines around the edges ...and springs around the bodies. The large round serving platter measures 15 inches or 38.1 cm in diameter. It has two molded handles on each side accented with gold and at the center of the tray is a roundel with a landscape scene. The chocolate pot measures 10 inches or 25.4 cm high to the top of the spout. It has a delicately curved handle that is accented in gold. The cups have a tall ribbed body with a slightly flared rim, they measure 3 1/4 inches or 8.2 cm high, the saucers are 4 3/4 inches or 12 cm in diameter. The condition is as follows; there is some age appropriate gold wear, the cover is missing from the chocolate pot, there is a chip on the edge of two saucers, and one cup has a chip.
