SMITHS Empire Chrome Metal Case Open Face 1950s Vintage Pocket Watch

A 1950s Smiths Empire open face pocket watch.
This watch belonged to my father and has been sitting unused in a jewellery box for decades.
I wound it for the first time in many years today and it's been running fine for the past few hours (I've taken photos to show the seconds hand and minutes hand having moved) but it could probably do with a clean and a service to ensure that it keeps working properly.
It makes a lovely ticking sound and has taken me right back to the days w...hen all watches ticked - ah, the memories!
The face is about 42mm in diameter.
The case is about 50mm in diameter.
The face is in nice condition with just a few light marks that I can see on close inspection.
The hands are true and unbent.
The back has age-related fine scratches all over and a couple of light dents.
The "glass" on the front is made of plastic which has yellowed over the years. I can't get it to sit in properly so it may be that I'm not doing it properly. It's not fallen out but it isn't in evenly - I can feel a gap at the bottom so be aware of that.
I'd really like this to go to a new home where it will be cared for, used and enjoyed, as my father did for years.
