Original Description:
This is an original 1966 dated sun helmet. It is in excellent shape and doesn’t appear to have been used but the fabric exterior has some dinginess. The EGA is excellent. The sweatband looks like it has shrunk across the front panel. The GI sun hats I’ve had in the past, if they were maker marked, were all made by Hawley and this one probably was as well. It has the same look to the edge as a WWII Hawley liner and the fabric covering as well.
