This item is a Crew-Only limited edition Miniature Hercules Sword that Kevin Sorbo had specially-made as a final gift to the cast and crew of HERCULES THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS starring Kevin Sorbo & Michael Hurst which also spun off the show XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS starring Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor. Both shows were produced by Sam Raimi and his production company Renaissance Pictures.
From 1993 - 1999, Five TV Movies & 100+ episodes of television HERCULES THE LEGENDARY J...OURNEYS was successful show. Kevin Sorbo had this Miniature Sword made and gave it to every crew member as a way of saying "Thank You." It was given ONLY to Cast, Crew & Staff Members on the film. As a result, they're hard to find for sale. They were NEVER offered for SALE in a retail outlet, at Comic Book and Movie Conventions or online. The only way to GET one was to be on the Crew, Cast or Staff during that filming period or to buy one from an actual Crew, Cast or Staff member.This miniature sword is made out of some kind of cheap metal, possibly aluminum.This miniature sword measures 13 inches long from tip to tip and 1.75 inches at its widest part of the hilt.
Etched into one side of the sword is: "HERCULES"Etched into the other side of the sword is: "1993 - 1999"
This sword is BRAND NEW and has NEVER BEEN USED but some of the black paint has chipped off the hilt.Some where packed away I do have a copy of the letter that Kevin included with the sword. But because I moved in the past year and will definitely be moving again within the next 8 - 16 months that letter is packed away. Hopefully I will come across it soon and will be able to include it with this listing and your shipment. If not, I will still have your address and will be able to ship it, free of charge, at a later date.
