Information:
Reference Number: Avaluer:2325383Publisher: Marvel
Original Description:
Star Comics was an imprint of Marvel Comics that began in 1984 and continued to publish comic books until early 1988.  Following that, the titles carried the Marvel Comics logo instead of the Star Comics one.  Titles published by the imprint were aimed at child readers and were often adaptations of children's television series, animated series or toys. Several of the original titles consciously emulated the house writing and visual style of then recently ...defunct Harvey Comics titles such as Richie Rich. This auction is for FLINTSTONE KIDS #1-6 from the 1987 series.  The comic book series was based on the animated TV series of the same name.  Take a look at the adventures and antics of the characters from the Flintstones cartoon series, Fred, Barney, Wilma and Betty, when they were kids.  Yabba-dabba-doo! In Flintstone Kids #1, Fred and Barney work on getting Fred elected class president in "Prehistoric Politics" and then everybody gets ready for a visit from rich uncle Mintstone in "Uncle Mintstone Comes to Town." Scripts by Michael Gallagher and art by Ernie Colon & Al Milgrom. Also, Fred dreams about being a championship boxer in the future in "Bedrock Future Shock." Script by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer. In Flintstone Kids #2, Fred and Barney go on a treasure hunt after finding a map in the library in "Treasure of the Sierrock Madre" and then everybody gets in on the auditions for a new child actor to co-star with Robert Redrock in "Lights! Camera! Klunk!" Scripts by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer. Also, Fred, Barney and Ellery help the police in the mystery of the missing tar pits in "Bedrock P.I.s – What in Tarnation?" Script by Michael Gallagher and art by DeCesare & Roettcher. In Flintstone Kids #3, Fred has women troubles in "Love Potion #8-1/2" and then Wilma writes in her diary about a day spent trying to find out what Ralph Roccio wants to ask her with a jealous Fred hanging around in "Wilma's Diary (Private)." Also, the kids' pets have been taken and everybody tries to find the missing pets in "Pet Peeve." Scripts by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer & Jacqueline Roettcher. In Flintstone Kids #4, Fred and Barney try to win the Soapstone Box Derby with their Flintstone Flyer car in "Kind of a Drag Race" and then Fred and Barney wake up and discover all of the furniture in the house is gone and try to find out what happened in "Meet the Leprockaun." Also, Fred runs into difficulties when he tries to get his rich Uncle Mintstone to donate money in "Double Double Trouble." Scripts by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer & Jacqueline Roettcher & Jon D'Agostino. In Flintstone Kids #5, Fred gets trapped into taking Dreamchip to the Marathon Dance in "Bedrock Around the Clock" and then the gang decides to publish their own newspaper in "Stop the Presses." Also, Fred, Barney and Philo's camping adventure turns into a night of horrors in "Count On the Bedrock P.I.s." Scripts by Michael Gallagher and art by Warren Kremer & Jacqueline Roettcher & Jon D'Agostino. In Flintstone Kids #6, Uncle Mintstone needs Fred's help with a business deal with the King of Rockorea in "Foreign Intrigue" and then Fred dreams of being Cape Carnivorous' first astronaut in "Out to Launch." Also, Fred, Barney and Philo try to protect the Rock Ness Monster from discovery in "It Ain't Ness-Essarily So."
