Here we have a wonderful Christmas covered candy made by the Fenton glass company. This dish is made from Cobalt blue glass and has a wonderful winter scene painted on it. This scene is almost identical to the Canaan valley pattern Fenton produced. This was a precursor to that pattern. There is crushed glass frit in the snow on the trees and ground to add some texture and sparkle to it. This covered jar is hand painted by S. Hopkins. It measures 5” tall. This candy was produced for Q...VC in July of 2004. As a Christmas in July sale. This is free from any chips or cracks. And it comes in its original box. I was a Fenton showcase dealer for years and accumulated quite a collection. This item was purchased from QVC in 2004 and has been in storage since.
