This is a beautiful rectangular tray with rounded corners and a pierced gallery with cut out side handles, standing on four small ball and claw feet. It is silver plated on copper, and the silver has been polished through so the copper shows a little in the centre. It has makers marks for Mappin & Webb, Sheffield. England. I would date it to the mid twentieth century.Size: Length is 18 inches, Width 9 inches ( 46 x 23 cm) Weight: about 1290 grammes: Condition: good, wear to centre... as noted and also to ther edges ... see photographs for exact condition..
