FIRST OFF - LET ME SAY - THAT THIS WATCH IS RUNNING AND WORKS GOOD. This watch has been put away for a long time and I have very seldom used it. When I got it out for Ebay - I wound it up and it is running just as it should. When I used it in the past - it always worked good. I never had any problems with it.
Antique Illinois Sterling Pocket Watch VG Condition Nickel case 1923-25. Condition Pre-owned. I am a bit confused with my researc...h of this watch. When entering the serial number I get information that it is a Grade 415 Watch. However there is no information on the works to show this. The serial number on the watch is 4547767. So when I observed that, I checked the serial number again thinking that I may have mistaken the 5 for a 3 and found that that serial number said it was a Grade 405. So I, not knowing a lot about Pocket Watches will leave it up to you the buyers to decide what the case is. As I researched this watch I also found that depending what serial number is looked up it was made either in 1923 or 1925.
The watch is a model 3 size 12s 17 jewel movement. Open Faced Adjusted.
The case has a cover on the back that is hinged to open. The Case is stamped Regal B&B. The Face of the watch appears to have a few lines on it - but doesn't look cracked. I examined it with a very strong magnifying glass.
I also have looked for watches with the same type of hour numbers and only found 1 which was in a gold filled case.
Because of that I believe this watch is very rare. It belonged to one of my Uncles and he gave it to me sometime in the 1960s.
