You are buying mounted set specimens. All specimens are sent in a set/dried properly mounted position with correct entomology pin as the photos show. Abdomens are crossed pinned for safe transit.
Packed in a very careful and safe postal tried system.(Foam hand made setting board, or foam internal box system with pin remove-able lid)
Some specimens may however have antenna, leg or abdomen damage during transit. We pack very well as stated, but Unique Butterflies can take no blame for this action as you can appreciate with delicate set/spread specimens.(Set/Spread specimens are non refundable and non returnable as you can appreciate.) Most minor damage as this can easily be repaired by the use of clear nail polish to re attach**.. You are buying mounted set specimens.

Most of our *specimens at Unique Butterflies are bred on farms, similar to tuna, trout, sheep, and chicken farms etc, and are sustainable to the needs of the planet. Each insect specimen you purchase from Unique Butterflies helps to promote breeding programs in a poor village in some remote exotic area.This also helps the village people to survive. You are also helping these magnificent creatures to breed and carry on the cycle of life with out depleting natural wild species.(*CITES.*Convention for Investigating Trade in threatened Endangered Species of wild flora and fauna). Most butterflies in the wild only live for a few weeks and they are *preyed upon by many predators.( *including their caterpillars.)
