Margin only just touched on the left side, however, a plate 1b tied to entire by an Isle of Man Maltese cross.
June 1st 1841 from Douglas to Liverpool.
1d Reds were first sent to the island in the spring of 1841. This cover is therefore very early.
The contents demonstrate the unreliability of the twice weekly "Summer Mail Service".
10 & 7 o'clock ra...y flaws, horizontal line top of "B" in square. Spec AS6.
Lightest of filing folds through stamp, but a very rare cover.
