Rather extraordinary find here - one page letter dated June 4, 1829 - Washington DC - signed by MARTIN VAN BUREN while servicing as U.S. Secretary of State. Content is about a government or military commission/appoint. Letter was written to Caleb Stark who was in the New Hampshire State Senate (and served in the 1st New Hampshire Regiment during the Battle of Bunker Hill).
