For your consideration is thi...s BEAUTIFUL Antique Gillette “Triple” Silver-Plated, Single Ring Safety Razor Set {Set No. 460-B} GILLETTE RAZOR--1916 SERIAL NUMBER--D188708 with Nickel-Plated “King Gillette” Case with Printed Patent Numbers--Including the British Patent Number--on the Bottom and 2 Gillette Nickel-Plated Blade Banks. (See Pictures)
DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION:
THE SINGLE RING {1916} GILLETTE RAZOR: This “Triple” Silver-Plated Single Ring Razor---Serial Number D188708-- is in Good++-Antique Condition. This razor has No Silver Plate Loss. The knurling on the handle is nice--”NO STRESS CRACKS”. To be 104 years old, this razor looks amazing--well preserved! (See Pictures)
I have taken pictures from every angle of this razor--Leaving Nothing to the Imagination. And, so you can see for yourself the condition of this razor--and so you will know exactly what you are buying. (See Pictures)
***NOTE: I gave this Razor a Warm Soapy Bath; However, I did not want to get too aggressive--in fear of disturbing the Beautiful Silver-Plating. Further cleaning and sterilization will be needed before display/use. This Razor will make a beautiful addition to any collection of “Antique Razors”.
THE “KING GILLETTE” CASE: This Nickel-Plated Case is in Good++Antique-Condition--Mirror-Like Finish Around--with Only Light Scratches. It Has the Printed Patent Numbers--Including the British Patent Number--on the Bottom. The Case has a Purple Satin and Purple Crushed Velvet Lining. The Outside is Nice--NO DINGS/DENTS. The Inside is Nice--No Rips/Tears--No Razor Rub. The Print on the Inside Lid is Crisp/Brilliant . Hinges and Clasp work as Designed/Manufactured. (See Pictures)
THE GILLETTE RAZOR BLADE BANKS: 2 {Mis-Matched} Gillette Nickel-Plated Blade Banks--Possibly Came from Gillette Like This or Replaced by the Previous Owner. 1 Has the Match-Strike Bottom and the Other Has the Plain Bottom. Both Blade Banks are in Good++-Antique Condition. They Show Only Age-Appropriate Scratches--NO DINGS/DENTS. 1 Contains an Empty Gillette “Green Wrapper” Razor Blade Sleeve. (See Pictures)
